Scenic rides are the greatest gift to give this holiday season

Scenic rides are the greatest gift to give this holiday season. Finding the best back roads that are less traveled has always been a challenge for motorcycle riders. I have always sought to remove this challenge with the set of back road riding guides that I have created. Each guide breaks down every ride with easy to follow turn by turn instructions. An example ride show here so you can see how easy the format is to follow.

What makes a scenic guide book the greatest gift

When giving a gift we often target things to give as a gift. What if we could expand our idea on gift giving to include experiences. An experience lasts a lifetime and does not end up in the back of the drawer. All my scenic riding guides provide experiences that will remain with you for a lifetime. Each experience will open new horizons and provide scenery that will be enjoyed during the ride and for many years to come. A fond memory of mine is from the SF-J-Lake Okeechobee Route. This route takes me on the SW Martin Highway that has a canopy road that is etched in my memory. Something about this road with the canopy overhang and the sun shining through the leaves always takes my breath away. That is the beauty of all my guide books, the memories never end.

Which of the guide Books make the greatest gift

One of the first guide books I would recommend is the Scenic Riding Guide Of Florida Book – 80 Rides. This is the motorcycle trip planner tool for your next motorcycle road trip. The roads in this book are all paved, less traveled, and without freeways. There are many canopy rural back roads, with shaded twists and turns, along with mileage for each road traveled. The rides are all mapped out with turn by turn directions with mileage, and photos of all the roads. There is a listing of biker friendly stops, state parks, starting point coordinates, and a ride index with total time and mileage for each ride. A flash drive comes with the book, so you can print out each ride, and place the route in a tank pouch.

Another great guide book is the Scenic Ride Guide Book Motorcycle Trip Planner For The Southeastern U.S. – 184 Rides. This is our whole collection in one book. There are 80 rides in Florida, 14 in Georgia, 15 in South Carolina, 15 in North Carolina, 15 in Virginia, 15 in Alabama, 15 in Mississippi, and 15 in Tennessee. The rides consist of less traveled paved roads, with plenty of scenic twists and turns. A flash drive comes with the book, so you can print out each ride, and place the route in a tank pouch. The Florida section has photos of many of the roads, to help you visualize the rides. Each state has a points of interest listing, along with starting point coordinates for each ride. The ride index lists total time and mileage for each ride. Many of the rides are stackable, and can be combined for a longer day of riding. This is the perfect route planner tool for your next motorcycle road trip.

About me

As the researcher and author of the self-guided ride series Finz Finds Rides, I got my inspiration for the collection of books by the motorcyclist’s worst enemy: crowded roads, unsafe pavements and repeatedly doing the same route. I am an explorer by nature, I seek to discover new paved back roads to the scenic destinations I love and those yet discovered. I have nearly 150,000 miles under my belt, I have crafted riding guides that include wonderful sweeping curves, little traffic and fantastic views to great destinations throughout Florida and the Southeast.
