Avoiding Traffic With Back Road Short Cuts –  US-41 North from Casey Key Edition

Back Road Short Cut
1. Avoiding Traffic With Back Road Short Cuts –  US-41 North from Casey Key Edition

At times I find it best to avoid certain sections of roads. When ending my Casey Key ride I find myself sitting at the intersection of US 41 and Blackburn Point Road. I have often thought to myself what other ways could I take to avoid taking US 41 for just a little longer.

Well I thought that now was a good time to put an end to wonderings,  I believe that  I have the perfect solution. This simple set of roads has me going around a section of 41 that is not a favorite of mine to ride. These few roads make the end of the Casey Key ride a better experience. If you are interested in the Casey key ride, (WCF-O), it can be found in the Scenic Riding Guide Of Florida Book.  The byways that skirt 41 provide some nice scenery to view while bypassing a section of 41.
